So, we've got two weird pecan trees in our front yard, one of which
didn't ever lose its leaves or pecans one Fall, so when the next spring
came around, the tree looked like this:
So, that makes for a useful excuse as to why, back in January, we were finally getting around to raking leaves in our yard, at which time the kids were doing typical, simple jumps into the piles. Then Elsie decided to run across the yard and jump in, and I did a small commentary on it as if it were a sporting event of some kind. So then the kids started to do more and more elaborate routines, and asked me to keep commentating.
Then they kept going, round after round...
After round...
After round...
So by the end, I was more tired than they were, but they loved it, and now they'll probably keep asking me to do it, until, you know, we get around to actually bagging all the leaves. Maybe by September?
